The idea behind Wonderwoods

Both green towers – that form a cohesive unity – were inspired by the relationship between nature and technology. With the integration of nature in the architecture, Wonderwoods surprises us with something completely new in the landscape of contemporary European architecture.

Dutch architect Roberto Meyer of Amsterdam-based MVSA Architects designed one tower. This “extravert” tower gives you the inside-outside feeling due to its highly transparant glass facade and lush wintergardens and rooftop parks. Here you will find owner-occupied homes, rental homes, offices, roof park, Digital Art Space ‘Nowhere’ and various other facilities.

The other tower is designed by Stefano Boeri of Stefano Boeri Architetti. This Milan based architecture firm is known worldwide for its innovative ‘Bosco Verticale’ (Vertical Forest). This introvert tower is covered with trees that hug the tower. The architecture amplifies the sound of nature, resulting in pure relaxation. Here you will find rental and owner-occupied homes, a roof park with restaurant, a gym, healthy catering facilities and various facilities.

Wonderwoods will be a shining example of the architecture of tomorrow.

Architecture

MVSA Architects

MVSA Architects has designed a sustainable tower that is in harmony with the building designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti. The cutting-edge architecture is inviting and was designed with a greenhouse aesthetic in mind. The tower features (winter) gardens, terraces and naturally lit atria.

Stefano Boeri Architetti

Stefano Boeri is one of the pioneers who gives nature a new place in the urban environment on a large scale and he is considered one of the most important trendsetters in contemporary architecture. Stefano Boeri wants to counterbalance the problems of climate change by creating designs that provide cities with greenery and oxygen. He translates his famous ‘Bosco Verticale’ in the heart of Milan into his custom designs. Not copied but tailor-made including Wonderwoods. Architects worldwide follow his example in ground-breaking, green designs.
